Scott's L.A.™ Hollywood Article:
The Hollywood Walk of Fame

The first star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was given to Joanne Woodward in 1960.  Today there are more than 2,000 stars on Hollywood Boulevard from Gower Street on the east, to La Brea Avenue on the west.

You’ll find stars honoring Elvis Presley and the Beatles at the southwest corner of Hollywood & La Brea, near the silver “Four Ladies of HollywoodGazebo.  (You’ll know it when you see it, the name says it all!)  There are also stars on Vine Street going south to Sunset Boulevard.  Stars are given to honor work in Motion Pictures, TV, Radio, Recording, and Live Theater / Live Performance.

You can search for specific star locations on Seeing Stars which gives a partial list of stars and maps to them.  The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce allows you to search for a star by the specific name of a performer.  To find out when you can see a performer receive a Star “live,” in-person, click here for the dates of Upcoming Ceremonies.
The stars below are located in one block of Hollywood Boulevard between the Hollywood & Highland Center and Grauman’s Chinese Theater.  I met the Spanish tourists below while taking my own photos.  Delightful people having fun on the Walk of Fame!
